That one story that will make you infinitely more interesting than your know-it-all brother-in-law. Seriously, wtf is that guy’s deal?

THE FUTURE IS NOW

Weber just dropped its 2026 barbecue lineup, and it’s giving us a glimpse at what the future of grilling could look like.

The biggest shift is a smarter approach to charcoal that blends digital control with real fire, alongside updated gas grills and a growing system of connected tools.

Weber’s new release shows how smoke and technology are sharing the same space, and there isn’t a damn thing you or I can do about it…

The centerpiece of the 2026 range is the Performer Smart Charcoal Grill. It is Weber’s first fully WiFi-connected charcoal model. Built-in probes and a digital controller regulate airflow and track temps so you can cook low and slow with more confidence and less guesswork. What, no touch screen?

App alerts and remote monitoring let you keep track of your cook without hovering over the grill. Don’t worry, last time I checked, there are no rules that say you can’t still hover if you want.

Gas is getting smarter too…

The Genesis and Spirit gas grills now feature digital thermometers and app connectivity. This makes it easier to manage heat, track doneness, and stay consistent for longer cooks.

New Tools Left and Right

Weber also expanded its lineup of smart probes, controllers, and accessories that work across multiple grill types.

So, Dead Meat Society… what do we think about tech and smoke coming together in a big way in β€˜26?

And, will any of these grills make an appearance in your Super Bowl weekend?

Like the memes you send back and forth in your group chat, except these won’t get you canceled. Oh, and lots more grill marks.

πŸ₯© SACRED GROUND: A hundred years of smoke left in these walls. Thanks to Kyle for sharing this old smokehouse in the DMS Facebook Group πŸ‘‡

πŸ₯© BUYER BEWARE: Costco’s BBQ burnt ends are getting heat for all the wrong reasons. Customer feedback says they fall short on flavor and texture, so consider this a reality check before you throw them in your cart.

πŸ₯© BLUE MEAT: At no point did anyone ask if they should πŸ‘‡

πŸ₯© WEEKLY SMOKE: If your β€œmeal prep” doesn’t involve smoke, are you even trying? πŸ‘‡

πŸ₯“ BIRD BREAKDOWN: A few small mistakes turn deboning into a mess. These fixes make the process smoother and more precise.

πŸ₯“ GAME DAY DEALS: Amazon’s hosting and barbecue essentials are on clearance ahead of the Big Game, from grills and smokers to coolers and prep tools. If you’ve been thinking about upgrades or need game-day kits, now’s a good moment to lock them in.

Like a Paula Deen cookbook, but with less butter and more BBQ sauce.

🀀 MOINK Balls

Bacon wrapped around meat wrapped around cheese. A new take on pigskin.

Looking for a different kind of burger? Throw a curveball at your Super Bowl party.

If dessert can be smoked, it should be.

And since the only thing that is better than grill marks and ice-cold beer is grill marks and ice-cold beer with a side of dad jokes, we’ll leave this right here…
